Safety DOs

Download mobile apps only from official stores (Play Store/App Store).
Update your banking app and phone's OS regularly for security patches.
Register for SMS/Email alerts for every transaction.
Use strong, unique passwords and change them frequently.
Shred or destroy any sensitive bank documents before disposal.

Safety DON'Ts

NEVER share your OTP, PIN, or Passwords with anyone, including bank staff.
Do not click on suspicious links received via SMS, WhatsApp, or Email.
Avoid using public Wi-Fi networks for any banking transactions.
Do not store sensitive card details or passwords on your mobile phone.
Never grant remote access to your device to unknown callers.

Fraud Alert

Beware of "Digital Arrest" Scams

Fraudsters often impersonate police, CBI, or RBI officials over video calls, claiming you are under "Digital Arrest" for illegal activities. They then pressure you to transfer money to "secure" accounts.

Remember:

Government and Law Enforcement agencies NEVER use video calls for arrests and NEVER ask for money transfers during investigations. Stay calm and report immediately.
